Public tender bid/no-bid checklist
Finding a matching tender is the easy part. Before you spend days on a bid, run through this list with the official documents open.
Is it real and current?
- Open the tender at the official source. In Israel that is usually the Government Procurement Administration site (mr.gov.il) or the publishing body's own page. Do not bid from a copy.
- Check the latest update date. Deadlines and documents change. The mr.gov.il listings show both a publication date and an update date.
- Write down the exact deadline and time, and how bids must be submitted.
Can we bid?
- Eligibility (threshold) conditions. Check experience, turnover, certifications and licences. Missing one usually disqualifies the bid regardless of price.
- Guarantees. Find out whether a bid guarantee is required, for what amount, and how long it takes your bank to issue it.
- Mandatory meetings or site visits. Check whether attendance is a condition of bidding.
- Required forms. Note affidavits and signed declarations.
Should we bid?
- Evaluation criteria. How are price and quality weighted? Can we win on the criteria that count most?
- Scope and contract term. Look at volumes, the service levels required and the penalties.
- Clarification questions. Note the deadline for questions. Ask early, and read the answers given to other bidders.
- Effort. Is the effort worth it compared with other open opportunities?
Keep the shortlist short
The free Tender Radar filter narrows a pasted list of tenders by your keywords. It matches whole words, Hebrew prefixes included (ו, ב, ה, כ, ל, מ, ש), and drops tenders whose deadline has passed.
It filters only what you paste: there is no official feed behind it. Every match still needs the checks above. Hebrew guide: איך לסנן מכרזים ממשלתיים לפי מילות מפתח.
Try it free: Free tender keyword filter (Hebrew-aware)
